What is ImPROve Maternal OuTcomEs in Illinois (I PROMOTE-IL)?
ImPROve Maternal OuTcomEs in Illinois (I PROMOTE-IL) is one of nine original projects funded by HRSA’s State Maternal Health (MHI) Innovation Program. The MHI program was developed to support states implementation of novel approaches to address maternal mortality and morbidity. The grant was awarded to the University of Illinois at Chicago, in partnership with the Illinois Department of Public Health/Title V, in September 2019.
I PROMOTE-IL has three primary goals:
- Establish an Illinois Maternal Health Task Force and implement a state-level Strategic Plan.
- Improve state-level maternal health data and surveillance.
- Promote and execute innovation in maternal health service delivery.
